Dec. 18th, 2018 05:46 amSo it looks like the Tumblr folks I'm running into here are primarily the deerkult folks. Which means I picked the wrong darn username. I suppose it's not too late to reroll, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT:
possible solution: Post all Paganism to communities, keep the hub blog for personal rambling, decide re various fandoms as they come up.

Dec. 17th, 2018 05:25 amIt's a Christmas/Yuletide tradition, posting this music video. Been going on for what, eight years now? Almost missed it this year because I'd ceased to exist on social media, but here ya go.

Dec. 17th, 2018 12:58 amWelp, here I am.
I kind of drifted away from Tumblr a good while back, but the current situation brought me back to archive my blog just in case, and I got to thinking about the good things about Tumblr that I do actually miss. Writing long and rambly things for a hypothetical audience of three friends and a shoelace, that's what I miss.
Tumblr did get to be rather a lot, which is why I drifted, so I don't think I'd be coming back there even if it was a functional website with customer service staffed by at least the semi-conscious, but this platform shift offers me a way to kind of slide back in on a smaller scale and maybe get back into writing my rambly things.
The nice thing is both Dreamwidth and Pillowfort have better focus on original posts, which is very nice for those of us who're keen on longer blocks of texts.
So, anyway, my main presences in my Tumblr heyday were the Shakespeare fandom (Histories specifically, Richard II very specifically) and Heathenry, with a hefty sidedish of MMO gaming, so you might recognise my name[s] from any of those circles. I had different sideblogs for different hub interests on Tumblr, so no idea if I'll end up doing the same here or just mash everything together, we'll play it by ear.
But for now, I'll just be crossposting things between here and Pillowfort (which I'll have to do manually, so expect catastrophe) and trying to remember/relearn how to social media all over again. (Dreamwidth is easy, I just have to dig back a decade or so in my memory and then remember to HTML instead of BBcode).
I'm Runecestershire over on Pillowfort as well, and if you actually know me I can cough up the discord ID if you ask nicely.
